Just Thinking

As I sat here today doing head math as I often do, I realized that the Moon is 1/4 inch farther from us every month. The Moon is receding from the Earth about 3 inches a year. So each time there is a Full Moon you will know that it is 1/4 inch farther away than the last Full Moon.

hmmmm. that is trippy. i thought the coming March "super-moon" is actually the closest it has been in 18-19 years?
but i guess your 1/4" theory would still stand in any case eh?

Yes, although it is not a theory it is a fact, and yes the super moon and the recessionary moon are two different things altogether. Eventually the moon will escape the gravity of the earth and go on its merry way.

Don't worry the Sun will swallow us up before that happens, and the Andromeda Galaxy will collide with the Milky Way and scatter all the solar systems in god only knows what directions, so everything will be on its merry way then anyway.
